Azamgarh Cop Duped of ₹5 Lakh by Fake E-commerce Investment Scheme

•An Azamgarh constable, Antalesh Kumar, was allegedly duped of ₹5.43 lakh by individuals posing as e-commerce firm staff.
•The fraudsters promised high returns on an online investment, luring the victim through a Telegram link.
•Kumar invested money between July 31 and December 29, 2025, transferring amounts from ₹10,000 to ₹1.45 lakh.
•When he tried to withdraw funds, the amount was inaccessible, and his account was deleted.
•An FIR has been lodged under Section 66D of the Information Technology Act at Rasra Kotwali, and investigations are ongoing.
