Court Rejects Lalu's Plea for Unrelied Documents in Land-for-Jobs Case
•
A Delhi court rejected pleas from Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and others for over 1,600 unrelied documents in the land-for-jobs case.
•
Special Judge Vishal Gogne stated providing these documents en bloc would 'place the cart before the horse' and disrupt the judicial process.
•
The court found the pleas designed to 'condemn the trial to a maze at the very outset' and saw a 'latent intent' to drag proceedings.
•
Lalu Prasad is accused of abusing his power as Railway Minister (2004-2009) to make Group D appointments in exchange for land parcels.
•
Charges were framed against 41 accused, including Lalu Prasad and family members, on January 9, while 52 others were discharged.
