Election Commission Reshuffles 13 IAS Officers in Bengal, Appoints New DMs as Poll Officers

•The Election Commission ordered a reshuffle of 13 IAS officers in poll-bound West Bengal.
•New District Magistrates (DMs) have been appointed as District Election Officers (DEOs) with key responsibilities.
•Officers like Jitin Yadav, Sandeep Ghosh, Vivek Kumar, Rajanvir Singh Kapur, and T Arjun are among those posted as DM-cum-DEOs.
•Smita Pandey is appointed Municipal Commissioner of Kolkata Municipal Corporation and DEO of Kolkata North, Randhir Kumar as DEO of Kolkata South.
•The transfers are effective immediately, with a compliance report due by March 19, ensuring free and fair elections.
