- •Severe cold wave conditions to persist across North and Northwest India for 2-3 days, affecting Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
- •Minimum temperatures dropped below freezing in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad; Bhatinda, Punjab recorded 0.6 degrees Celsius.
- •Dense to very dense fog expected in morning hours over Northwest India and Bihar, with reduced visibility in Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.
- •A western disturbance and an upper air cyclonic circulation are causing current conditions; a fresh western disturbance to bring rain/snow to Western Himalayas from Jan 15.
