Hitman Hired to Kill Son Murders Mother Instead, Flees with Valuables; Arrested After 5 Years
•Ajay Mishra, hired to kill a woman's son, instead murdered the woman, Shakuntala Yadav, and fled with cash and gold.
•The crime occurred in 2021 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, following a family dispute where Shakuntala and her younger son Amit Yadav allegedly hired Mishra.
•Mishra, along with an associate Ketan Tiwari, strangled Shakuntala and stole approximately Rs 10 lakh in cash and 350-450 grams of gold.
•After the murder, Mishra absconded for five years, avoiding digital footprints and frequently changing locations before settling in Ahmedabad.
•The Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrested Mishra in Naroda, cracking the long-standing murder and robbery case; investigation continues to find other accused.
