Karnataka BJP MLA Chandru Lamani Arrested in ₹5 Lakh Bribery Case

•BJP MLA Chandru Lamani was apprehended by Lokayukta police for allegedly accepting a ₹5 lakh bribe.
•The arrest followed a trap set by Gadag Lokayukta police based on a complaint from contractor Vijay Pujar.
•The alleged bribe was for projects under the Minor Irrigation Department, including road retaining wall construction.
•Officials stated the accused had initially demanded ₹11 lakh from the complainant.
•Lamani's personal assistants, Manjunath Valmiki and Guru Naik, were also detained in connection with the case.
