Maharashtra Ration Card Crackdown: Landowners, High-Income Earners to Lose Benefits

•Maharashtra's 'Mission Sudhar' campaign is strictly verifying ration cards, cross-referencing Aadhaar with PDS data.
•Beneficiaries owning over 2.5 acres of land or exceeding income limits (Rs 44k rural, Rs 59k urban) are identified via 'AgriStack'.
•In Nashik district, over 5 lakh cards are under scrutiny; 3.8 lakh beneficiaries found with large landholdings.
•Grain distribution was already stopped for 21,354 beneficiaries; further action against ineligible is underway.
•Administration urges ineligible to 'Give It Up' voluntarily, warns of action, and aims for transparency in the system.
