•This deployment aims to ensure the safety of Indian gas and oil tankers and protect India's economic interests.
•Two special 'Task Forces' have been formed to provide safe passage for merchant ships from the Persian Gulf and offer emergency assistance.
•The move is considered a 'masterstroke' to prevent disruption of India's crude oil supply amidst Middle East instability.
