Tirumala Launches 'Akshara Govindam' for Children's Aksharabhyasam, Like Basara

Tirumala introduces 'Akshara Govindam' program for children's Aksharabhyasam, mirroring the tradition at Basara's Gnana Saraswati Temple.
•
The initiative allows children aged three to five years to perform the educational initiation ceremony near Lord Venkateswara.
•
Initially a pilot project at Vakulamata Temple in Perur, a permanent mandapam will be constructed near Pushkarini for the ceremony.
•
Participants will receive a special kit including a slate, chalk, Sri Vari Akshatas, Ammavari Kumkum, deity pictures, bangles, and rock candy.
•
The Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) designed the project following requests from devotees and Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani.
