Bhojpur Transforms Cow Dung: Biogas Fuels Schools, Empowers Farmers

•A biogas plant in Sandesh block, Bhojpur, purchases 1500 kg of cow dung daily from local farmers.
•The produced biogas is used to cook midday meals in two nearby government schools, ensuring clean cooking.
•Under the Govardhan Yojana, the government will now buy cow dung at 50 paise per kg, managed by Jeevika Mahila Samiti.
•This scheme promotes rural cleanliness, reduces pollution, and provides a new income source for livestock farmers.
•DDC Gunjan Singh actively monitors the initiative, aiming to strengthen the rural economy and environmental protection.
