Gopalganj: 15 Students Fall Ill After Filaria Medicine, Parents Protest

•Approximately 15 students in Harkhua village, Gopalganj, fell ill after consuming filaria medicine administered by ASHA workers.
•Children experienced stomach pain, gas, and vomiting, leading to chaos and parental protests at the school.
•All 58 children present at the school were given filaria and Albendazole tablets after their mid-day meal.
•Some children also reported feeling sleepy and falling asleep shortly after taking the medicine.
•The affected students were admitted to Sadar Hospital but have since been discharged and are out of danger.
