DGCA relaxes Air India flight duty rules amid West Asia tensions, longer routes
•
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted Air India temporary relaxation in Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules.
•
This exemption applies to selected international routes due to increased flight times caused by changed air routes from West Asia tensions.
•
Flight time for some crew is extended from 10 hours to 11 hours 30 minutes, and Flight Duty Period from 13 hours to 14 hours 45 minutes.
•
Air India must provide an additional 4 hours of rest to the crew for these extended duties.
•
The move aims to ensure uninterrupted international flight operations and facilitate bringing passengers home.
