FPIs Inject Rs 22,615 Cr in Feb, Shift from IT to Banks & Capital Goods

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) invested Rs 22,615 crore in the Indian stock market in February, the highest in 17 months.
•
This surge follows three consecutive months of FPI withdrawals from the market.
•
FPIs heavily bought into Financial Services and Capital Goods sectors, while reducing investment in the IT sector.
•
Rs 10,956 crore was withdrawn from the IT sector due to Artificial Intelligence-related issues and sector weakness.
•
Reasons for increased investment include the India-US trade agreement, attractively priced shares, and strong Q3 company results.
