Rajasthan's 145-Year-Old Abu Road Station Gets Rs 81.51 Cr High-Tech Makeover

•The 145-year-old Abu Road railway station in Mount Abu is set for a Rs 81.51 crore redevelopment.
•Ministry of Railways sanctioned the amount for the Ajmer division station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
•Established in 1880, the station has a rich history, now serving major trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Vande Bharat.
•Crucial for tourism to Mount Abu and access to religious sites like Ambaji Temple, Pavapuri, and Brahma Kumaris HQ.
•Out of the total, Rs 74.87 crore will be spent on construction; 15 stations in Ajmer division are undergoing redevelopment.
