SEBI Board to Revisit Conflict-of-Interest Framework on March 23

SEBI board to deliberate on conflict-of-interest and disclosure framework for senior officials at March 23 meeting.
•
The framework, based on high-level committee recommendations, was deferred in December for further discussion.
•
Regulator may also examine proposal to allow netting of funds for foreign portfolio investor transactions.
•
Revisions to 'fit and proper person' norms for intermediaries to tighten disclosure and assessment standards are expected.
•
Other items include modifications to master circulars for stock exchanges, clearing corporations, and commodity derivatives.
