Mother, Son Die of Suffocation in Rajkot Apartment Fire

A 92-year-old woman and her 62-year-old son died from suffocation after a fire broke out in their fourth-floor apartment in Rajkot.
•
The incident occurred at Manmandir Apartment, Nagar Street No. 7, Palace Road, around 12:15 AM on February 25.
•
Preliminary investigation suggests electronic items in the kitchen and hall were burnt; a short circuit is suspected as the cause.
•
Neighbors alerted family and fire brigade after seeing smoke; firefighters broke open the door to find the mother and son unconscious.
•
Despite no burn marks, both were declared dead at Civil Hospital due to critical smoke inhalation; FSL team is investigating.
