M.Sc. IT Graduate Arrested in Rs 800 Crore Cyber Fraud Racket

Karan alias Dwarkesh Pirabhai Desai, an M.Sc. IT graduate, arrested in connection with a massive Rs 800 crore cyber fraud racket in Surat.
•
The accused was involved in an organized racket using mule accounts to channel foreign gaming-betting funds into India.
•
Investigation revealed transactions worth Rs 8,00,66,51,326 across 149 bank accounts, with 402 complaints on the NCCRP portal.
•
Funds from Bangkok and Vietnam related to gaming and betting were transferred via leopay.live, with Karan operating a franchise.
•
Police obtained 5-day remand for Karan Desai to investigate co-accused, financial manipulation, and international connections.
