Shyam Bhagat Negi Appointed Himachal DGP for 9 Days Before Retirement

•Senior IPS officer Shyam Bhagat Negi appointed acting DGP of Himachal Pradesh Police.
•Negi, a 1990-batch officer, will serve for only 9 days as he retires on March 31, 2026.
•Appointment comes as current acting DGP Ashok Tiwari goes on leave from March 23 to March 31.
•Negi, known for his honest image, was previously Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat in Delhi.
•IAS officer Arindam Chaudhary also moved to central deputation as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Steel.
