•Maharashtra aims to boost its services sector GDP from $312 billion to $3,000 billion by 2047.
•Global Capability Centres (GCCs), Media Tech, and Animation, Gaming, Visual Effects (AVGC) sectors are identified as key growth drivers.
•CM Devendra Fadnavis announced plans to make Mumbai and Pune a $50-billion Media Tech and AVGC hub, creating 30 lakh jobs via GCCs.
•State launched GCC Policy and AVGC-XR Policy in 2025, targeting 400 new GCCs and supporting 295+ studios.
•Central government supports IICT Mumbai for AVGC content labs in schools/colleges, earmarking Rs 250 crore for talent development.
