Chief Electoral Officer Issues Six-Point Directive to DMs to Expedite SIR Hearings
- •Chief Electoral Officer issued a six-point directive to District Magistrates (District Election Officers) via WhatsApp to expedite the SIR hearing process.
- •Booth Level Officers (BLOs) must issue a minimum of 140 notices daily and ensure delivery within 2-3 days.
- •EROs/AEROs are urged to quickly upload all hearing documents, as only 10 lakh out of 20 lakh hearings have been uploaded so far.
- •BLOs must upload notice issuance information to the BLO app and, for spelling errors, upload 2002 and 2025 voter lists for verification.
- •EROs/AEROs must promptly decide on actions if voters lack prescribed documents, and only specified documents should be uploaded.
