•Eastern Railway completed major infrastructure and maintenance works on Baruipur-Diamond Harbour section and Magrahat station on March 14-15.
•An additional waterway with 10 precast RCC boxes was created near Bridge No. S/34 to improve Adiganga basin drainage, benefiting Sonarpur, Baruipur, and Suryapur residents.
•A new 3-meter wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB) was commissioned at Magrahat station, featuring 21.75-meter and 12.64-meter girders for safer passenger crossing.
•Technical maintenance included 32 welding operations, an improved Switch Expansion Joint at Magrahat, de-stressing 1772 meters of rail, and deep-screening 377 track meters at Diamond Harbour.
•Electrical services were enhanced by replacing worn-out contact wires (1000m) on the Up line and expired wires (750m) between Hotor and Baruipur sections.
