•Five-time MLA Partha Chatterjee, embroiled in SSC corruption, denied assembly ticket by TMC.
•Chatterjee was arrested in July 2022 for his alleged role in the teacher recruitment scam and spent over three years in jail.
•He was removed from the cabinet, suspended from TMC for six years, and is still labeled as the 'kingpin' of the scam.
•Manik Bhattacharya, former Primary Education Board president and TMC MLA, also dropped due to his involvement in the recruitment scam.
•Bhattacharya was arrested in October 2022 and spent nearly two years in jail before being granted bail.
