•The heinous crime occurred on September 24, 2024, where the girl was raped, murdered, and her body hidden in a water tank.
•A Special POCSO Court in Bhopal had sentenced Atul Nihale to death on March 18, 2025, a decision upheld by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
•A three-member SC bench, including Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta, and NV Ajariya, will now hear the case in detail.
