West Central Railway Installs CCTV Cameras in All Coaches for Enhanced Passenger Safety
- •West Central Railway has installed 532 CCTV cameras in coaches of trains from Jabalpur, Kota, and Bhopal to enhance passenger safety and curb criminal activities.
- •General and Sleeper coaches will have two cameras each, primarily near toilets, while AC coaches will feature four cameras, including two near seats for broader coverage.
- •The cameras will store 15 days of recording and are designed to capture clear video even at speeds over 100 km/h and in low light conditions.
- •Live monitoring will be implemented in Vande Bharat trains, which currently have 24 cameras installed.
- •Surveillance will also help monitor TTEs' presence and timings, and identify illegal vendors, ensuring better service and security.
