India's First Hydrogen Train Set to Launch Next Month: No Diesel, No Electricity!

•India's first hydrogen train, running on water, is set to begin operations from next month (April).
•The train will connect Jind and Panipat in Haryana, covering a 90 km distance.
•Converted from a 1200 HP DEMU, it aims for Indian Railways' zero carbon target by 2030.
•The Ministry of Railways has allocated over 1,500 crore rupees for this pilot project.
•Initially, 35 hydrogen trains are planned for heritage and hill routes, costing 80 crore per train.
