Odisha Hospital Fire: 10 Dead in SCB Medical College Trauma Care Blaze

Massive fire erupted in the Trauma Care ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha, early Monday morning.
•
Ten patients died in the incident; seven critically ill patients during shifting, and three later.
•
Eleven hospital staff members sustained burns while heroically rescuing patients from the burning ICU.
•
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi confirmed the fire was caused by a short circuit and occurred between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM.
•
CM Majhi visited the hospital, met patients, and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh for the families of the deceased.
