Dholpur's Pappi Saxena Empowers 50 Women with Home-Based Pad and Sewing Business
•Pappi Saxena, Sharda Devi, and Mandha Devi from Dholpur became symbols of rural women's empowerment by addressing the lack of affordable sanitary pads.
•They started by making safe and affordable pads after noticing elderly and poor women faced health issues due to expensive market options.
•With support from Rajivika, they received technical training and overcame initial challenges to establish a thriving home-based industry.
•Their 'Aloe Vera chip' sanitary pads, made from pure cotton, offer enhanced hygiene and safety, remaining effective for about 12 hours.
•The center has expanded to include slipper manufacturing, leaf plate production, and a sewing unit, providing dignified employment to approximately 50 women.
