Rajasthan Boosts Women's Safety: Panic Buttons in 207 New Buses, Electric Fleet Coming Soon

Rajasthan Roadways adds 207 new buses (28 AC, 79 Non-AC, 23 Deluxe Depot, 10 Non-AC) to its fleet, enhancing public transport.

New buses feature panic buttons and VLTD for women's safety, along with mobile charging points and reading lamps in AC buses.

Buses are BS-6 and AIS-153 compliant, contracted for 6 years with per-kilometer payment.
•
Jaipur to receive 150 electric buses in the first phase, part of 1150 allocated to Rajasthan under a central scheme.

Electric bus trials completed in Jaipur, aiming for modern, pollution-free public transport.
