•The state's maximum temperature has crossed 40°C for two consecutive days; Barmer recorded the highest at 40.4°C.
•A yellow alert for heatwave has been issued for Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Balotra districts.
•No relief from the heat is expected until next week, with temperatures projected to rise by 2-3 degrees.
•A new Western Disturbance between March 11-12 might bring a temporary 2-3 degree drop in temperatures.
