•A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck near Khulna, Bangladesh, 90 km from Kolkata, at 1:22 PM IST.
•Epicenter was 26 km southeast of Taki, West Bengal, at a depth of 9.8 km.
•Tremors lasted 52 seconds, causing panic and evacuation from multi-story buildings in Kolkata and other districts.
