•The gang stole data from 1500 old phones, committing massive fraud by posing as bank officials.
•Accused include Mohammed Irfan (Delhi), Sahil (Meerut), Anas (UP), and a minor offender.
•They operated under a scrap business guise, buying old phones cheaply to extract user data, bank details, and IMEI numbers.
•SP Akhil Mahajan warned against selling old phones to unknown individuals, urging public vigilance and use of helpline 1930.
