Kachiguda Railway Station Launches Portable Ticket Machine to End Queue Woes
•South Central Railway (SCR) introduces 'Portable Ticket Issuing Machine' at Kachiguda Railway Station to reduce long queues for platform and general tickets.
•The small, mobile thermal printer connects to TTEs' UTS app via Bluetooth, printing tickets at 80 mm/second.
•Passengers can now get tickets from officials at station entrances, avoiding crowded counters, and pay via cash or UPI.
•Kachiguda, a busy station with 55,000 daily passengers, sees over 200 passengers using the new service daily.
•SCR plans to expand these portable machines to other major stations like Secunderabad and Nampally based on positive response.
