Haldiram Raided: 112 kg Adulterated-Expired Sweets Seized Before Holi in Lucknow

Food Safety Department seized 112 kg of expired sweets, including Sonpapdi and Rajbhog, from a Haldiram storage warehouse in Faizullaganj, Lucknow.
•
The expired sweets were destroyed on the spot during the raid.
•
Samples of assorted peda, rasgulla, gulab jamun, petha, and gujiya were sealed for testing.
•
A city-wide campaign also led to the seizure of 10,415 kg of spices and khoya, valued at Rs 55.91 lakh.
•
Further legal action will be taken after lab test results are received, as the campaign aims to ensure safe food during festive seasons.
