Kaushambi's Saras Mahotsav: 10,000 SHG Women Boost Livelihoods, Eye 'Lakhpati Didi' Status
•A two-day Saras Mahotsav was held at Babu Singh Degree College Ground, Sayara, Kaushambi, to promote rural livelihoods and women's empowerment.
•Approximately 10,000 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) participated, showcasing their products at 40 stalls and gaining income-generating ideas.
•Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya motivated women to become self-reliant and achieve 'Lakhpati Didi' status.
•SHG members like Sunita Devi and Shweta Singh highlighted the benefits of group association and the opportunity to display their skills and products.
•Unemployed women receive 1% interest loans (CCL CIF) through groups to start or expand businesses, though a need for designated markets was also raised.
