Bison Rampage on Holi Morning in Jalpaiguri: 2 Injured, Forest Dept Urges Residents Indoors

•Three stray bison entered residential areas of Uttar Shalbarhi, Banarhat Block, Jalpaiguri on Holi morning.
•A woman and a man were injured in the bison attack; several cattle also reported injured.
•Forest personnel from Binnaguri Wildlife Squad, Maraghat Range, and Nathua Range responded to the incident.
•One bison was tranquilized after prolonged efforts; two others are still roaming near the village.
•Forest department issued public announcements, requesting residents to stay indoors and avoid gathering for safety.
