•Two children, Ahil Akhtar (6) and Samir Sheikh (9), died in a horrific road accident in Shamsherganj, Murshidabad.
•A four-wheeler, driven by a new learner, lost control on a rural road and struck five children playing by the roadside.
•The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Dighri area of Dhulian Municipality, Ward No. 16.
•Three other children are critically injured and undergoing treatment after being referred to Jangipur and Baharampur.
•Shamsherganj police seized the car; the incident has caused widespread tension and anger among local residents.
