Shantipur Weavers Rejoice: Yarn at Mill Gate Prices, 40,000 to Benefit!
•A new yarn depot opens at the Handloom Department in Shantipur, Nadia, initiated by Tamralipta Co-operative Spinning Mill with West Bengal Govt. approval.
•This initiative will directly benefit 30,000 to 40,000 handloom weavers by providing yarn at mill gate prices, eliminating transportation costs.
•Weavers can procure a minimum of five kilograms of yarn at mill gate prices, making it accessible for small and medium-sized producers.
•Tamralipta Spinning Mill will offer technical assistance, training, and advice to improve product diversity, modern machinery use, and productivity.
