•A primary school teacher, Samir Kumar Mondal, was arrested in Murshidabad for allegedly firing shots at children playing near his house.
•The incident occurred in the Banipur area under Raghunathganj Police Station, leaving one child injured in the hand.
•Locals claim the teacher was angered because the children's play ball frequently entered his house, despite prior warnings.
•The injured child's father stated the teacher fired four to five rounds with a bird-hunting gun when the ball hit his door.
•Police recovered a gun from the teacher's house and are investigating its type, suspecting it to be an advanced airgun.
