The hike is likely to be announced by late March or early April, applicable from January 1, 2026.
•
DA and Dearness Relief (DR) offset inflation, calculated using the 12-month average of AICPI-IW.
•
DA is expected to rise by 2 percentage points, from 58% to 60%, based on current estimates.
•
A Level 1 employee with a basic salary of ₹18,000 could see a monthly gain of ₹360; revised DA with arrears expected in April.
