DA Hike for Jan-June 2026: Expected Amount and Salary Impact Revealed

Central government employees and pensioners await the Dearness Allowance (DA) revision for January–June 2026.

The hike is likely to be announced by late March or early April, applicable from January 1, 2026.
•
DA and Dearness Relief (DR) offset inflation, calculated using the 12-month average of AICPI-IW.
•
DA is expected to rise by 2 percentage points, from 58% to 60%, based on current estimates.
•
A Level 1 employee with a basic salary of ₹18,000 could see a monthly gain of ₹360; revised DA with arrears expected in April.
