Dried Tulsi Plant? Don't Uproot! Wrap in Red Cloth for Auspicious Ritual
•
A dried Tulsi plant is still sacred, associated with Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, and should never be thrown away.
•
Gently remove the dried Tulsi plant with its roots, minimizing damage.
•
Wrap the dried Tulsi plant in a clean cloth, preferably red, as a sign of respect.
•
Immerse it in a sacred river, or bury it under a Peepal or Banyan tree, or in a deep hole in a pot/ground.
•
Chant 'Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya' 3, 7, or 11 times during immersion for positive energy; Thursday and Friday are auspicious days for this ritual.
