Bollywood's 'Cursed' Film: Director, Stars Died; Released Incomplete After 23 Years

K. Asif's 'Love and God' is dubbed Hindi cinema's most 'cursed' film, plagued by deaths and misfortunes during its production.

Director K. Asif, known for 'Mughal-e-Azam', began the film in 1963, aiming for grandeur, but it became a harbinger of death.
•
Original lead Guru Dutt died in 1964; K. Asif himself passed away in 1971, leaving the film unfinished.
•
Second lead Sanjeev Kumar also died in 1985, just before the film's eventual release, adding to its tragic history.
•
Released incomplete in 1986 by K. Asif's wife, Akhtar Asif, with a narrator filling gaps, but failed at the box office.
