•Day and night temperatures significantly below normal due to recent storms and rain; Kolkata's daytime temperature dropped 11 degrees below normal.
•Chances of storms and rain will decrease from today in South Bengal; temperatures will gradually rise, returning to near normal by Wednesday.
•Jhargram, Purba and Paschim Medinipur, and North and South 24 Parganas may experience thunderstorms with gusty winds today.
•North Bengal to continue experiencing storms and rain, with thunderstorms expected in Darjeeling, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, and Jalpaiguri districts.
•Kolkata will have partly cloudy skies with virtually no chance of storms or rain today; temperatures to rise, reaching 22-29 degrees Celsius.
