India Ranks Second Globally in Child Obesity, Alarming 'World Obesity Atlas' Report Reveals

•The 'World Obesity Atlas 2026' indicates the 2025 global target for halving childhood obesity rates will be missed, with the deadline extended to 2030.
•Globally, over 200 million school-aged children (5-19 years) with obesity are concentrated in just 10 countries, with China leading and India second.
