Ujjain Temples Dazzle with Phag Utsav: Devotees Celebrate Holi with Joy

Phag Utsav celebrations have begun in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, starting from Rangbhari Ekadashi, bringing early Holi festivities.

Lord Krishna's Holi with Radha and Gopis in the month of Phalgun is believed to be the origin of the Phag festival tradition.

Grand Phag Mahotsav organized at Gopal Mandir, Mankameshwar Mahadev, and Khatu Shyamji temple with bhajan-kirtan and enthusiastic color play.

Devotees from Ujjain, Dewas, Indore, and Ratlam participated, with children dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha dancing to bhajans.

Phag Utsav also celebrated with great enthusiasm at Chamunda Mata Temple and the 2000-year-old Gajalakshmi Temple in Ujjain.
