Iftekhar played pivotal roles in classics like "Deewaar" (as Amitabh Bachchan's mentor) and "Zanjeer" (reprimanding Bachchan).

Despite a successful career spanning nearly 400 films, he faced personal tragedy, passing away in 1995 at 71 after his daughter's death.
