Vijay Brushes Off Divorce Rumors, Unveils Massive Aid for TN Women Ahead of Polls

Actor-turned-politician Vijay dismissed divorce rumors, stating they are "not worth your time" and he will handle them personally.
•
TVK chief Vijay promised Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid, a sovereign gold with silk saree for weddings, and six free LPG cylinders for women.
•
Other pledges include Rs 15,000 annual aid for zero school dropout, gold rings for newborns, and interest-free loans for Women SHGs.
•
He also committed to free sanitary pads, smart panic buttons, fast-track courts, and a dedicated 'Rani Velu Nachiyar' police unit for women's safety.

Vijay's wife Sangeetha reportedly filed for divorce in December 2025, after 26 years of marriage.
