9-Year-Old Mehedi Hasan Finds 1.45 Lakh Rupees, Returns to Owner via Police

•Mehedi Hasan, a 9-year-old from Dhulian Hijaltala, Murshidabad, found a bag containing 1 lakh 45 thousand rupees.
•Instead of keeping it, the third-grade student immediately took the bag to Samserganj Police Station.
•IC Subrata Ghosh of Samserganj Police Station used a bank passbook found in the bag to identify the owner, Zakir Hossain.
•Zakir Hossain, from Brahman village, Farakka, had lost the money after withdrawing it from Bandhan Bank for bidi workers' wages.
•The money was returned to Zakir Hossain, and Mehedi Hasan was honored by the police and praised by locals for his exceptional honesty.
