The long-awaited Kota-Bundi Greenfield Airport project, costing over 1500 crore rupees, has commenced near Shambupura in the Hadoti region.

Air services are targeted to begin by 2027, significantly boosting air connectivity for Kota, a major education hub.

The airport will feature a 3.2 km long runway, capable of accommodating large aircraft like the Airbus A321, and a modern passenger terminal.
•
With an initial annual capacity of 2 million passengers, the airport aims to enhance tourism, industry, and trade in the region.
•
Approximately 600 hectares near the airport are earmarked for industrial development, promising new investments and employment opportunities.
