Sikar's SK Hospital: 83 Years of Shekhawati's Lifeline, Built for Just 2.70 Lakh

•Shri Kalyan (SK) Hospital, Sikar, celebrates 83 years since its foundation on March 6, 1943, built for 2.70 lakh rupees.
•Initiated by Sir Mirza Ismail, then PM of Jaipur princely state, it became Shekhawati's largest government hospital.
•Construction took five years; inaugurated by Maharaja Sawai Mansingh in 1948, full operation began in 1954.
•Its blueprint was a result of Sikar citizens' demand for a hospital similar to Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Hospital.
•Expanded over decades, including an ophthalmology hospital inaugurated by Lal Bahadur Shastri, now a modern medical hub.
