Sikar's SK Hospital: 83 Years of Shekhawati's Lifeline, Built for Just 2.70 Lakh

Shri Kalyan (SK) Hospital, Sikar, celebrates 83 years since its foundation on March 6, 1943, built for 2.70 lakh rupees.
•
Initiated by Sir Mirza Ismail, then PM of Jaipur princely state, it became Shekhawati's largest government hospital.
•
Construction took five years; inaugurated by Maharaja Sawai Mansingh in 1948, full operation began in 1954.
•
Its blueprint was a result of Sikar citizens' demand for a hospital similar to Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Hospital.
•
Expanded over decades, including an ophthalmology hospital inaugurated by Lal Bahadur Shastri, now a modern medical hub.
