এখনও নাকি টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপে খেলতে পারে বাংলাদেশ। তবে সেটা পুরোপুরি নির্ভর করছে পাকিস্তানের উপরে। সূত্র মারফত এমনটাই খবর পাওয়া গিয়েছে ৷ হিন্দুস্তান টাইমসের এক প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী বিষয়টির সঙ্গে অবহিত এক আধিকারিক জানিয়েছেন, পাকিস্তান যদি বিশ্বকাপে না খেলে, তাহলে বাংলাদেশকে ডেকে নেবে আইসিসি। ওই আধিকারিকের কথায়, ‘‘যদি পাকিস্তান বিশ্বকাপ থেকে নাম তুলে নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়, তাহলে গ্রুপ ‘এ’-তে তাদের পরিবর্তে বাংলাদেশকে সুযোগ দেওয়া হবে। সেক্ষেত্রে বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ডের প্রাথমিক আর্জি মতো বাংলাদেশের সব ম্যাচ হবে শ্রীলঙ্কায়।’’
